2016 Curriculum Changes

Explanation of Changes in TCMI Curricula

The faculty of TCMI recently reviewed the curriculum and graduation requirements for the MA in Practical Ministry degree. As a result, a revised set of required courses for new MA students was created along with the development of new courses and deletion of older courses. The following describes the decisions made and the impact of those decisions on you.

There is a new requirements checklist for all students who will be admitted to the MA program in 2016 and after. The changes have primarily centered on three areas: Biblical Studies, Theological Studies and Spiritual Formation. As current Certificate, MA and MDiv students, you will continue to use the requirements checklist that you were given when you started your studies. The graduation requirements for current students have not changed.

Other changes include the update of current courses and the addition of several completely new courses (see the 2016/2017 Catalog to be published soon). In order to give you more options in your studies, we have expanded the selection of courses in Practical Theology that are available to Certificate, MA and MDiv students, as well as to auditing graduates.

Our staff in Student Services and your Assistant Dean and Dean will be available to assist you with any curricular need.
Many thanks and God’s richest blessings on your ministry and continued studies at TCM.
